JASTA KO TASTAI

Dear CTC Webmanager,
First of all I would like to thank you for making webpage for the campus. The job is undoubtedly a great job. However, I have some comments to make. The first queston is who you are addressing by the mail? There are no names who you are sending the mail and from whom you want comments. I could not make out who are the web designers. There are many weaknesses with regard to the contents. There are also number of spelling mistakes. You have inserted biography of a few people as if they are only the faculty members. This will create many misunderstandings. There might be some unauthentic staements. The name of the institution (which is Central Campus of Technology) is itself wrong. This is a big blunder. I am of the opinion that you should have sought the suggestions of the campus regarding the construction of the webpage before you have brought it in the internet. Please make necessary corrections urgently. I hope to hear soon from you. Thanks.

INFORMATION:
Highly respected sirs, dear friends;
we aplogize with our mistake as Dr. Dillip Subba our honourable professor of Dharan Campus  is very angry with us.  But who will support us to find the real and facts about Dharan Campus so that the web page will be able to reflect the reality? Please suggest us to delete the webpage or continue with improvements?

Thanking you and awaiting your reply.

 Suggestions and comments from

 Honourable Dr. Desh Subba:

Hi,

My entry to this website was incidental, sited when searching my name using google. I am pleased for the endeavour, perseverance from the individuals who are involved in this mission and congratulate them for bringing the page to this shape. Since, the site is under construction, I see plenty of rooms for perfection. In the mean time, I have following quick comments and suggestions; do hope this will be constructive feedback to better shape this website.

I have not yet thought of the chronology. Overall there is general lack of conciseness in the messages for example, the background; I feel that elaborative context in it and descriptive phrases used under Dharan products cannot be interesting to general public. Whom are we telling the story of our personal lives of college or school days? I do not think that this would be of interest to others. Of course, key messages, recent accomplishments/success stories, career goals would be interesting to all. Are we clear about our target audiences, who are we targeting this website for?

Questions raised by Prof Dilip Subba must not be overlooked and taken negatively with an immature statement such as 疎nger・ I feel that many of his comments are genuine and needs to be considered by the website construction team. I understand that the Campus, for which this website was designed, was ignored and do not seem to have been consulted at all. Agreeing with Prof Subba, if it痴 being created for the campus, prior approval from the campus must have been sought. I assume that the idea for the website was discussed among individuals informally but not institutionalised, which I am sure is a mistake.

Spelling errors cause annoyance to readers and these must never be ignored. If we are familiar with the spell/grammar check facilities with the MS words, we must use it. Shall we think twice before we take things into action? I feel that everything needs to be discussed before it comes out to the public notice. I strongly suggest need for an effective communicative net work amongst members (at least key members). Involvement of the Campus Chief in this net work is crucial, also some members of the NEFOSTA executive board (?).  However, I am still unsure whether this web site is designed for Dharan campus or website of Dharan products alumni. I doubt if we are still clear about it?

Creating and developing website is not an easy job by cost, skill and time. The commitment, generosity and affection shown by some colleagues towards the development of Dharan campus should greatly be appreciated and acknowledged by all of us. Dharan campus should feel lucky as someone is doing it voluntarily for the benefit of the campus. Why do you want to give up in the middle? Also as a local resident of Dharan, I am strongly supportive to this mission and would like the ball rolling!

Creating a group of e-members, a facility which is available in yahoo may need to be considered in future for effectual communication. However, in the mean time, 僧aterials・whatever are planned for general public must be circulated amongst key members to edit, review and approve before it comes out of the pipeline. A large number of us have poor access to computing facilities; strangely some of us even do not know the e-technology. In such a situation, we cannot expect feed back from all of us but should assume (?) that everyone is enthusiastic.

I understand that you have also been collecting some money (Rs50). It is nice if you could explain where this money goes to? Paying the web site donor? Or to a pot for a common benefit? In line with this, I am curious to know if the website team has ever envisaged about its sustainability; if not this needs to be fully discussed in near future!

Issues I raised here could be circulated among members for in-house e-discussion, which however is up to you but I feel that this note should not be placed in the site for general readers. Fingers cross for the success of this endeavour. Sincerely hope that other members will also join the enthusiasm of the two brains.

Finally, I appreciate if the Web manager would be able to circulate the URL address to everyone those who are in email contact. As a positive gesture in support of this website, as requested, I am attaching digitised pictures of some of our friends, shot after a cool moment recently at hotel Indreni, New Baneswor; and my brief resume.

Cheers,

Suggestions, comments and new research abstract from Mr. SUDEEP SHRESTHA, (USA):

Dear Web Manager,

Congratulations for the great job. I really appreciate the efforts done for this creative work. This is the internet world and we are lack of our own web which can communicate among ourselves. Being a Dharane and a product of Hattisar and an ex-employee in the Dept of Food Tech, I am very glad to see the comments and informations posted. It is true that the web is underconstruction and there are many short comings, however nothing is perfect at first attempt. Dr. Subbas' comments are really worthy. We all want this a very successful site and we all around the world woudl like to contribute from our part. Therefore I wish we wouldn't have such mistakes commented by Dr Subbas'. Pls try your best to make it for all, not personal.

Thank you very much for your great effort. Keep in touch
